Privacy Policy

• Account data: name, username, email address or phone number (depending on your sign-up method), profile picture/emoji.
• Learning data: course progress, XP, streaks, hearts, gems, exercise results, leaderboard data.
• Device data: device type, operating system, app version, approximate region, advertising ID.
• Purchases: information about in-app purchases and subscriptions (payment is processed through the App Store / Google Play — we do not receive full card details).
• Contacts (optional): if you grant permission in the «Friends» section, we send the phone numbers from your device’s contact list to our server for a one-time match to find which of your contacts use Foxlingo. This feature is optional, you can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings, and we do not retain your contact list on our server.
• Microphone (optional): in pronunciation/speaking exercises, your voice is converted to text by your device’s built-in speech-recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS). The audio recording itself is not stored on Foxlingo servers — only the resulting text is used.
• Technical logs and crashes: anonymous diagnostics to improve app performance.

• Provide the service, manage your account, and sync your progress across devices.
• Provide leaderboards, friends (including finding friends via contacts), and social features.
• Evaluate pronunciation exercises by voice.
• Show ads (see section 4) and confirm purchases.
• Keep the app secure, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

We do not sell your data. We use the following trusted providers to deliver the service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, analytics, and crash reporting. (Privacy)
• Google AdMob — serving ads. (Google Privacy)
• Your device’s speech-recognition service (Google / Apple) — to convert voice to text in pronunciation exercises.
• Apple — payments via the App Store and Sign in with Apple.
• Google Play — Android payments and subscriptions.

The app may show rewarded ads via Google AdMob. The ad system may use your device’s advertising ID and approximate location. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, we show a Google-certified consent form (UMP) and honor your choice. You can reset the advertising ID or turn off personalized ads in your device settings.

Foxlingo is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). If you believe such data was collected by mistake, contact us and we will delete it.

Your data is retained while the service is active and protected with industry-standard measures. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. The app includes a delete account feature that erases your account and associated data. To exercise additional rights under GDPR or other laws, contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or on this page. The «updated» date above reflects the latest revision.
